Abstract

This study provides the first synthesis of the empirical literature on the psychology of Eco-horror film using multi-disciplinary research from media studies, psychology, neurobiology, psychotherapy, communication studies, clinical psychology, Aesthetics and Art. The study sought to identify the relationship between Audience's exposure to Eco-horror Movies and its Relationship to their Ecophobia, the study belongs to the descriptive studies, and the researcher used the media survey method, This study uses the Magic-Bullet Theory, or hypodermic needle theory’ , The Uses and gratifications Theory, Protection motivation theory (PMT)and the protective frame theory to develop a theoretical framework for ascertaining the type of impact on Eco-horror movie viewers , and the sample of the study was a sample of (300) and the study relied on the questionnaire form, the measure Ecophobia as tools for the study and the most important results of the study were as follows: There is a statistically significant correlation between Audience exposure to Eco-horror Movies and their levels of Ecophobia.
