The study aimed to reveal the most important skills that help to employ graduates of media faculties
in the labor market from the point of view of media practitioners. The study used two approaches, the
qualitative methodology and the inductive approach, by conducting in-depth interviews with seventeen
media practitioners in Jordan, and the sample was taken in an intentional way. The results of the study
showed that the skills that a media graduate should possess are both pure media skills and other skills
such as research skills, critical thinking skills, content building skills, interpersonal skills, Arabic and
media language skills, computer technologies, internet-related skills, skills in dealing with legislation
and laws intelligently, time management skills, and others. The study also concluded that the media
graduate should have the ability to improvise, have a broad cultural background, and have the
characteristics of passion, strength of personality, charisma, love of constant learning, and others.
